The LAPD detective is under investigation, and it's certainly not for his workplace romance. While we only want to think the best of the former lawyer, Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) might be in the crosshairs for something far more sinister than viewers would expect. After all, the liaison officer spent the premiere revealing a few shocking tales from his time with the Five-0.

"The fact that he's being investigated by internal affairs will cause a fairly dramatic reassessment of his life, of his career and what he wants to do with it. It impacts both his career at NCIS and his relationship with Kensi," series creator Shane Brennan teased, according to TV Guide. "When the internal affairs investigation reaches its conclusion and we find out what's behind it, what it's all about, it will be a catalyst for at some point Deeks making decisions about his future."

Luckily for fans, Los Angeles' finest won't keep Deeks in suspense for too much longer. The detective will be able to stop racking his brain before the midseason hiatus.

"Before we reach the halfway point, the whole internal affairs issue will be well and truly investigated," Brennan promised.
