The baseball world lost a true legend and hero today with the passing of Hall of Famer and former Yankee Yogi Berra.

Berra, who is known best for his catchphrases, and record 10 World Series wins, passed away at the age of 90, and is being remembered by many on social media-from celebrity fans, to fellow Yankees, as well as other MLB stars and the organization as a whole in itself.

Derek Jeter, who retired as the Yankees captain in 2014, left a tribute to Berra on his Players' Tribune website, where he called Berra a "dear friend and mentor," while Hal Steinbrenner said his legacy transcended the sport.

Several famous fans, as well as Berra's granddaughter, Lindsay Berra, all took to social media to express condolences and sadness over his passing:
