They recently had a happy celebration for their daughter Esmeralda Amada's first birthday, but a new report is alleging that Eva Mendes is ready to pull the plug on her romance with Ryan Gosling because she fears he's cheating on her with his La La Land co-star Emma Stone.

According to the report, Mendes, 41, has lost all trust in her 34-year-old beau, who is starring with Stone, 26, as lovers for the third time after their successful turns in 2011's Crazy, Stupid Love and 2013's Gangster Squad. 

The two have always appeared to have chemistry and now, it seems Mendes is worried it is leading to more off-screen, especially since Gosling has referred to Stone as his "work wife".

"It doesn't matter how many times Ryan tells Eva that he and Emma are just friends, she knows there's an attraction there," sources said. "Eva stops by the set and constantly calls Ryan to see what he's up to. If she gets his voicemail, she'll text and text until he gets back to her. The trust just isn't there, and she thinks it's time they went their separate ways."  

Mendes' worries also likely stem from Gosling's tendency to date his co-stars. He dated Rachel McAdams after working with her on The Notebook and he and Mendes met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines together. 

Neither Mendes not Gosling has commented on the latest round of rumors, though they do come after reports began circulating last month that they could be secretly engaged, after Mendes was spotted sporting an emerald ring on her right ring finger constantly. At the time it was suggested that she was wearing it purposefully on her right hand so as to throw off paparazzi about whether or not the pair were getting hitched.
