Lady Gaga will be introduced in what is sure to be a controversial way in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

Will Emma Roberts' Role In 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Be A 'Great Shock'?

Gaga, who is making her major television acting debut on American Horror Story this fall, will have quite the introduction. AHS co-creator and show runner Ryan Murphy spoke with Entertainment Tonight recently about Gaga's big opening scene.

"Her introduction is a six-minute [scene] - almost like a silent movie with no dialogue, and lots of blood and nudity," Murphy said. "We started shooting on one of our first days, and you always want to throw people in with sort of an easy scene and she said, 'No, let's go for it.' So, it's pretty phenomenal and I think she'll surprise - in a great way - a lot of people."

Gaga is set to play The Countess in Hotel, a wealthy social doyenne who is obsessed with art, fashion and people. She also happens to own the Hotel Cortez, the titular Los Angeles hotel that is filled with many dark secrets.

Murphy spoke about working with Gaga so far and how she's fit in with the cast and crew.

"I have to say, she's one of the great professional joys in my life," he admitted. "She has been such a team player, the cast and crew is obsessed with her. Her performance is amazing. She's a great actress."

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
