Grey's Anatomy officially returned to TV screens for its new season Thursday night!

Alex & Jo Will Be Integral Parts Of The New 'Grey's Anatomy' Season!

Plenty of changes are in store for this new season that is sans Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) and it seems like at least one of the ensemble cast members has a wish for a certain female doctor to return one of these days.

Kevin McKidd, the portrayer of Dr. Owen Hunt, fielded some questions in honor of the Thursday night premiere from readers of Entertainment Weekly on Facebook.

'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Will 'Honor The Fact That Callie Is Bisexual'

A fan posed the following question: "If you can be Shonda [Rhimes] for one day, what changes would you make in history? Put new characters?"

"If I could be Shonda for a day, I'd bring Cristina [Yang, portrayed by Sandra Oh] back for a few episodes," he shared.

Cristina was written out of the show at the end of the 10th season.

"And see what that did to the relationships-and especially Owen," he explained of why he'd bring her back.

McKidd's character had a romantic history with Cristina so it could be interesting to have her return down the line especially to see how he'd deal with it if his relationship with Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) does go somewhere.

"I would also introduce a long-running villainous character to the show," he added.

Would you like Cristina to return?

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
