Robert Pattinson couldn't care less what people have to say about himself or his fiancee.

Is FKA Twigs Going To Be A Judge On Popular Singing Competition?

On Friday, NME posted an interview with the actor who's reportedly engaged to British singer FKA Twigs. Unfortunately, the comments on social media that she receives are nasty and racist, something that Pattinson doesn't understand.

"I was talking to my dad about this and I bet him that if he looked up Nelson Mandela's funeral on YouTube, the first comment would be a racist one. And it was, with like a million upvotes," the Twilight star said. "What I don't get is why. I think it's because most normal people are not commentators- I've never met anyone who's left a comment on anything. It's just demons who live in basements."

FKA Twigs Admits She Has Never Seen The 'Twilight' Movies

Pattinson pointed out how it's best not to get involved in this kind of hate because it just adds to the negative energy.

"You have this weird thing where you end up trying to fight against this faceless blob, where the more you hate it, the bigger it gets because it's all in your head," he said.

The actor admitted that he sometimes looks himself up on Google only to find that it's useless to pay attention to what haters have to say.

"It really does affect you, and it all comes from some moron sitting on a comment board," he said. "It's always that person who's needling away at you, who you either want to destroy, or convince them to leave you."
