The end of an era might be near as E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians faces dropped ratings and new speculation that the reality show has fake scenes.

Kris Jenner Reportedly Paying Rob Kardashian $500,000 To Show Weight Loss Journey On 'KUWTK'

As for the viewership, it plummeted when the series returned for a four episode special on Sept. 20. Only 1.29 million people watched. But the number is pretty much half of that when it comes to their key target of people between the ages of 18 and 49; 600,000 people tuned in who are in that age bracket.

More people tuned in to Basketball Wives LA on VH1 and The Strain on FX that date.

The ratings dropped by half since season 10 made its debut just this past March when 2.5 million people watched, 1.2 million in the 18-49 demographic. Still, this is even lower than season 9 that premiere on Aug. 31 of last year. That episode got 2.8 million viewers with 1.5 million 18-49.

News of the ratings comes just as the cast has possibly been outed for being caught taping a fake scene for the show. The clip took place in the most recent episode that aired Sunday in which Kylie Jenner opened up about her struggle to accept her father’s transition. She said that she was nervous about going to the Billboard Awards on May 17 and being asked about Bruce becoming Caitlyn. But reports claim that Jenner and Kim Kardashian actually taped that scene weeks after the Billboard Awards, on June 18.

That day, Jenner posted a photo of her wearing the same outfit as the scene that took place in the yogurts shop.

She even captioned it, “Yogurst date w Kim.”
