She has been worried he would betray her and reveal what she had done to Carlos after Duke's murder, and now, Anna (Finola Hughes) will learn that Sloane (Robb Derringer) did indeed sell her out on General Hospital.

After Anna rejected a romance with him and he backstabbed her in getting Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) charged with election tampering, Sloane decided to take things one step further and called Paul (Richard Burgi), the new District Attorney (and secret Jerome crime family boss) with the information about Carlos' death-including the gun Anna used to shoot him and his IDs. The move backfired on Sloane however when Paul shot him twice and killed him.

What Sloane didn't know is that Ava (Maura West) floated Carlos' name as the person responsible for Sonny's (Maurice Benard) shooting-and though Paul didn't plan on that name being floated, it helps deflect attention away from him, since he was the one who actually committed the crime. Because Sloane was telling the truth about what happened to Carlos, he had to be eliminated.

Now though, Paul will begin dropping hints to Anna that Sloane sold her out-and that he is going to begin investigating her to possibly put her behind bars as well.

"I received a call from ex-commissioner Sloane," he says in a preview clip for the Wednesday, September 30 episode.

Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) will begin expressing his doubts that Ava told the truth and that she's covering for someone else when it comes to Sonny's shooting.

"Are you having doubts that he's the shooter?" Valerie (Brytni Sarpi) asks him in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
