The Flash's Joe and Iris West won't let Barry Allen become a lone wolf, no matter how fast the speedster attempts to run away from his friends and family.

'The Flash' Season 2 Premiere: Arrow & Vandal Get The 'Jitters', Three Major Crossover Teasers

Central City's hero spent the summer hiatus drowning in guilt, and the Flash (Grant Gustin) will kick off season 2 by distancing himself from his friends and family. A new sneak peek, however, proves the Wests have a plan to pull their foster son/brother back into the fold (see the full video here).

"Maybe Barry has been so successful at pushing you, me, and everyone else away because we keep letting him," Iris (Candice Patton) tells Joe (Jesse L. Martin) in a clip from "The Man Who Saved Central City." "If you keep getting no for an answer, stop asking questions."

'The Flash' Season 2 Premiere: Who Really Saved Central City? Shocking Twist Teased

Watch out, Barry. You're surrounded with people who actually care about you and their coming to pull you out of whatever self-deprecating funk you've talked yourself into.

"Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie's death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own," The CW said of the premiere. "When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City."

Catch season 2 of The Flash starting Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
