On Thursday, the Olympic gymnast posted a new photo on Instagram as she looks into the camera with her piercing eyes and covers her mouth where her little smirk can be seen. She bares her shoulder in the black and white shot as she mentions in the caption that she's been missing this month.

Meanwhile, Maroney previously spoke to Teen Vogue about being a gymnast where she mentioned that there's a lot more to compete with than just the beams, bars and vault.

"In gymnastics, everything is a competition," she said. "You want to have your hair look the best and your makeup look the best. You want to be the best, and you want to have the prettiest leotard. For Team USA, we want to have the best leotards that we can, and we always come up with something very cool."
Maroney also dished on the type of style she enjoys dressing herself in.
"I really like crop tops," she said. "I like how you can dress them up or down, with jeans or a skirt and heels. I like to be showy and cute. I don't want to be in just a jacket and pants and boots."
