Leah Messer's mom reportedly feared for her daughter's life ahead of the Teen Mom 2 season six reunion.

According to a new report, Dawn Spears didn't feel Messer should attend the reunion due to her being in a fragile state after just having left treatment weeks prior.

“[Dawn] claims that Leah almost died from stress and anxiety before she went to treatment,” a source told The Ashley's Reality Roundup on Thursday. “She said Leah’s blood pressure was sky-high. She didn’t want Leah to go to the reunion, but she has to due to her contract.”

Messer entered a 30-day treatment program in Arizona in May after experiencing issues of anxiety and depression throughout the early episodes of Teen Mom 2 season 6. Then, in July, she and her ex-husbands, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, traveled to Los Angeles to film the reunion special with Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The Ashley went on to reveal that because of Messer's issues, she was given the safe word, "Monkey," which she was instructed to use if things became too intense on set.
