As if things weren't controversial enough, The View co-hosts are making a bigger name for themselves.

'The View' Co-Hosts Respond To Nurse Backlash

On Friday, child actor Danny Pintauro stopped by the talk show to discuss the fact that he is HIV positive. Based on what Identities.Mac wrote on Saturday, Pintauro opened up on how he knew about his condition for years, but waited till now to say it to the public.

"This is the kind of thing you've got to be really, really ready for. I haven't been ready before this," he said. "Telling the country and waiting for the response is something that takes some time."

Raven Symone Reveals Her Most Embarrassing Moment

While the discussion was supposed to be about Pintauro's health, things got a bit awkward when co-host Candace Cameron Bure brought up the drugs he was using in the past and if he has taken "responsibility for your actions, for being promiscuous, going into a lifestyle of having heightened sex because of the meth that you were using?"

Pintauro admitted that he did use crystal meth when he was younger to "explore some rougher sides of my sexuality."

Eventually, the conversation got pretty uncomfortable especially for Pintauro's partner who was in the audience. This is because co-host Raven Symone asked him if he and his lover have protected sex or not.

In a pre-written statement, Bure wrote, "If you are HIV positive and still having unprotected sex, regardless of what antiviral drug percentages that you're using, you're still not keeping your partner 100% safe."
