Nick Gordon is getting one step closer to being charged in the case of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death.

According to the latest reports, a grand jury is being prepared to be brought together to hear evidence and possibly indict the live-in boyfriend of Whitney Houston's late daughter. Gordon is the top person-of-interest in the incident that left Bobbi Kristina dead on July 26. She was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in the bathtub of the home she and Gordon shared together in Roswell, Ga. on Jan. 31.

One insider said Monday evening that Gordon’s lawyer, Jose Baez, who also represented Casey Anthony in the her trial for the murder of her daughter (in which she was found not guilty), is keeping close tabs on the proceedings. In the latest headlines, Bobby Brown’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, has blatantly pointed his fingers at Gordon for harming his daughter.

The source said, “The District attorney is convening a secret grand jury and it’s likely to result in charges against Nick Gordon.”

But Gordon won’t be the only one involved. Max Lomas and Danyela Bradley, who were all in the home with Bobbi Kristina was discovered could “be called to testify.”

Still the insider added, “It doesn’t appear that Nick will be called because the D.A. doesn’t want to give away their hand in preparation for a possible trial.”

Meanwhile, Brown’s family has filed a $10 million civil lawsuit against Gordon, blaming him for Bobbi Krstina’s death.

She was 22 years old when she passed away.
