Arrow executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to TVLine about the question of Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) father in season 4.

Green Lantern To Join Arrow Crew In Season 4? 

The fact that Felicity's mother Donna Smoak is here to stay longer than expected, fans have been wondering if they will get more information about her father. Guggenheim suggested that while that is something they are always looking to explore, he gave no assurances abotu it happening anytime soon.

"We're hoping," Mericle said.

Could Sarab Be Resuscitated In Season 4?   

"We're always talking about it, but we have to find the right story and the right moment. We trust that it will come to us when it's meant to come to us," Guggenheim added.

Guggenheim suggestes that the focus was more on new aspects of Felicity's personality like the "vengeance" that drives her now. He also spoke about how Rickards was really at her best right now, at the funnies were just getting better so to bring in the intense subject of her dad might put a bit of dampner on things.

"[Emily Bett Rickards is] on the top of her game. She's hysterical. We're definitely writing jokes for her, but she's also finding humor in lines that weren't intentionally humorous," he said.

Season 4 of Arrow will premiere on Oct. 7.
