He was already delivered a major blow when he learned that the night he broke up with Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) ended with her sleeping with his son Thomas (Pierson Fode), but now, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is being forced to deal with an even bigger punch to his gut on The Bold and the Beautiful.  

Thomas & Steffy Get Into It

Not only did he learn that his son and his now-wife were intimate together, and that his son may have taken advantage of a situation where Caroline wasn't entirely able to consent, but he now also knows that Caroline is pregnant-and since he had a vasectomy, the baby belongs to Thomas.

"You needed a friend that night. You needed a shoulder to cry on," he says to her in a preview clip for the Tuesday, October 6 episode. "Thomas came over and he was willing to give you much more than that. And he did."

However, Caroline will continue to defend Thomas against Ridge's accusations that he took advantage of her that night, insisting that he believed he was helping her get over her heartbreak that Ridge has wanted to break up with her.

"He was concerned about me. He thought he was helping," she says.

Meanwhile, Thomas, who is still in the dark about the whole situation, will be talking to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about how to work on fixing his relationship with his father-and the advice he gets won't be able to help him now that Ridge knows he slept with his wife.

"Stop hooking up with interns and face punching," Steffy says in the clip. "Dad will come around."
