Fans around the world appeared shocked that Kaley Cuoco filed for divorce from her husband of 21 months Ryan Sweeting-but it appears her former husband wasn't one of the people who was surprised by the marriage's end.

According to Entertainment Tonight, sources close to former tennis pro have admitted that everyone knew the couple's split was imminent, especially when it became clear that the Big Bang Theory Actress was no longer happy with the fact that her husband wasn't seeming particularly motivated with his career following injuries.

"Kaley ended things with Ryan. It didn't come out of left field or a shock to anyone close to them...it was a long time coming," the sources said. "She realized she wants to be with a guy who has a job and is motivated. All of Ryan's friends knew it was going to end bad."

Kaley Cuoco Divorced Ryan Sweeting Because Of A Drug Problem?

Earlier reports indicated that the divorce came to be because Sweeting was struggling with drug problems following his injuries-and that Cuoco had had enough of his false promises to get help.

"She supported him but she said he couldn't make the commitment to get sober. He'd tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted. Kaley told friends doctors prescribed something that he was taking too much of. That is when it went downhill again," sources said at the time. "She couldn't fix him. He wasn't the man she thought he was."
