Ink Master contestant Duffy Fortner opened up on her epic experience on the tattoo competition.

Is This The 'Strongest' Season Of 'Ink Master' So Far?

In an interview with Carter Matt released on Monday, Fortner mentioned what it was like being in the bottom against her mentor Dave Kruseman for the portrait challenge. Despite how things went down, Fortner is proud of what she brought while she was there.

"Being in the bottom with Kruseman was bittersweet," she said. "We were both bummed to have made it so far and then possibly be sent home, but we were both extremely proud of one another for as far as we've come."

The artist then revealed that if Kruseman makes his way to the top as the finale comes, whoever joins him is in for a challenge.

"If Kruseman makes it to the finale, whoever the other two finalists might be will both be strong competition," Fortner said. "You didn't make top three if you weren't strong!"

The tattoo champ also dished on how there hasn't been a female winner yet although gender doesn't define an artist.

"Not sure why there hasn't been a female winner yet, but there were only three female contestants out of a total of 18 (in my season specifically)," Fortner said. "Maybe if there were more females on the show we would have a better chance of seeing a female winner. But the tattoos speak for themselves, male or female."

Ink Master airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
