The highly anticipated season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta has yet to premiere but now there is drama surrounding what helped Cynthia Bailey keep her spot on the show.

It is no secret that the series saw a cast shakeup this time around as it tossed out Claudia Jordan. NeNe Leakes also decided to leave the show before filming for season eight began.

Porsha Williams also received her peach once again after she was demoted last season; and actress Kim Fields has signed on as well.

But now there is speculation as to how Bailey, who has been called boring in the past, has been able to secure her spot in such a rocky moment for the show. Well according to reports, its all thanks to her marriage trouble with Peter Thomas that is set to play out on this season.

“That’s how come Cynthia still has a peach,” one source told OK! magazine Monday. “She now has some drama and meat to her storyline.”

One of the main things that became a topic of conversation for the couple is when Thomas was seen cozying up to another woman and even arguably cheating on Bailey when they got a little too close. We’ll definitely see the fallout of that this season along with other issues the couple might have been experiencing during taping.
