Joe Giudice spoke of his wife Teresa's prison term on this morning's episode of the TODAY show.

Teresa Giudice Scores $200,000 For First Post-Prison Interview? [Report]

After he and Teresa plead guilty to charges of bank and wire fraud, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was sent to prison, where she is currently serving a 15-month term. Meanwhile, Joe has blamed himself for his wife being sent away.

"I was to blame," Joe said during his interview with the TODAY show's Tamron Hall. "I took full responsibility for everything, but they still put her away. I mean, I was supposed to go away, not her. And that was part of the plea. What I thought, anyway. I don't know what happened in the courtroom that day."

Will Joe Giudice Be Deported Back To Italy?

Although Joe regrets his illegal choices of the past, he isn't looking back, and explained, "if you do that, you're just gonna drive yourself crazy, and there's no point."

Joe went on to reveal that while he did make bad decisions, it was being in the spotlight, which ultimately did him in.

"I'm not saying I didn't do anything wrong or illegal, but there was definitely people behind [the scenes] talkin' to [law enforcement officials] and telling 'em we did this and telling 'em we did that to bring it to their attention," he revealed, failing to name names. "And, you know, being in the public eye didn't help."

Then, when asked about his possible deportation, Joe, who will serve his own 41-month prison term when Teresa's is complete, said he did not want to respond.
