Are you looking for a home away from home? Pluto might be the spot for you.

'Agents of SHIELD' Season 3: Simmons Is NOT Okay, Will We Find Out What Really Happened To Her?

Mars may have flowing water and the haughty nature that comes with planetary status, but Pluto has something the Red plant can't replicate - the blue, blue skies of Earth.

The news comes courtesy of data transmitted from New Horizons earlier this year. From analyzing color photos of Pluto's atmospheric haze, scientists were able to discover what the sky would look like from the surface.

"That striking blue tint tells us about the size and composition of the haze particles," Carly Howett, a researcher with the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, explained. "A blue sky often results from scattering of sunlight by very small particles. On Earth, those particles are very tiny nitrogen molecules. On Pluto they appear to be larger - but still relatively small - soot-like particles we call tholins."

Meanwhile, small patches of exposed water ice have also been detected, a significant find considering other forms of ice tend to dominate Pluto's surface.
