The Young and the Restless has a lot going on especially with character Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) since he's involved in the chaos at his family's business brought on by Adam (Justin Hartley) working with Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and the frequent arguing with Sage (Kelly Sullivan) about her lies.

Morrow spoke with Soaps about what is coming up for Nick and let's just say there's no short supply of drama in Genoa City.

Nick has always been adamant about staying out of the family's business since he and his dad Victor (Eric Braeden) don't get along, but Morrow dished, "I think Nick has always had a desire to help his family's company succeed and thwart off outside attacks. What he doesn't like is when his dad tries to dictate how he needs to perform or how much time he has to put in at the office."

"Nick is not Victor," the actor stated, adding, "His job doesn't consume him, the company is not the overriding drive in his life. He wants the company to succeed but he is not willing to pay the price that Victor has in order to achieve success."

Nick is willing to fight to keep the company afloat, but he won't go about things the way his father has.

"It has got to be on his own terms," Morrow shared.

As for Nick's relationship with Sage, it's complicated. She lied about knowing Gabriel was really Adam, which was a big lie. Plus, now a child is involved, but it is still unclear if Nick is the father or not.

"He loves this woman. He's had a child with her - maybe. The paternity is still a slight question," Morrow revealed, adding, "But Nick is going to have to decide if her keeping this secret about pretty much his mortal enemy is worth blowing up this relationship that they have spent a great deal of time trying to nurture and turn into something bigger."

"They are married and he wants to make it work. But he is going to have to get over this Adam thing. Hopefully he will but you never know. Nick can be unpredictable at times," Morrow said.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
