In American Horror Story: Hotel, Peters plays Mr. James March, the elusive creator of the Hotel Cortez. Peters did not appear in the first episode, but the actor will certainly have a significant presence this season.

Peters spoke with The Wall Street Journal recently and teased his eccentric new role and why Hotel is shaping up to be his favorite season so far.

Why Did 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Debut Lower Than 'Freak Show'?

"I keep saying he has a tendency for the dark arts, which is true," Peters said of Mr. March. "He's definitely out there. I'm not sure what I can say and what I can't say ... he was the original builder of the hotel and he made it catered to those specific needs."

AHS viewers saw in the premiere that Hotel dabbles in more outright horror than the past few. Peters teased how this season is more flashy and fun, and also a whole lot bloodier.

"It's a flashier season, it's a sexier season, it's a bloodier season. I think it's the scariest season of all. I'm not just saying that," he admitted. "Honestly, there are a lot of elements that are very scary. I think because it's present day, so that's really cool, and the hotel. I mean, what's scarier than a hotel? With all the past lives that have been through a hotel, especially one as dark as this one, it's bound to be scary and have some lasting effect. I think people are really going to like it. It's a fun season. it's funny, but it's also graphic and scary, and I think people are really going to like it. I like it. It's my favorite season so far."

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
