iZombie's Peyton managed to stay an arms length away from the undead in season 1, but the lawyer will find herself sucked into the drama when she returns to Seattle.

Although she didn't know it, Peyton spent all of iZombie's freshman season living with a card-carrying member of Team Z. When she finally did realize the truth, Peyton skipped town before you could say "brains." Liv's former roommate will return sooner rather than later, and when she does, the DA will have a very important job waiting for her.

"Last year, she largely was a sounding board and, later in the season, a love interest for Ravi," executive producer Rob Thomas informed Entertainment Weekly. "This year, she is very much in the thick of it. She comes back in her assistant DA position and she gets asked by the DA to take over the Utopium task force. That puts her right in the thick of the action."
