Lily Rabe is set to make her American Horror Story: Hotel debut very soon, but you may not even recognize her at first.

Why 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Is Evan Peters' Favorite Season To Date

Rabe will be playing infamous serial killer Aileen Wuornos in American Horror Story: Hotel, a role that will see the actress transform more significantly than ever before. Rabe spoke about playing Wuornos in a new interview with PopSugar.

"It's a pretty amazing transformation," she teased. "I don't wanna spoil it all but there's very little left of my own face."

Wuornos was famously played by actress Charlize Theron in the 2003 film Monster. Theron was completely unrecognizable in the role and ultimately took home an Oscar for it.

While Theron's performance is iconic, Rabe's take on the murderer will not be that similar.

"I think it's completely different because its Aileen Wuornos in the world of American Horror Story which is such a specific tone and world that we're bring this character into that it made it feel like completely its own thing," she said.

Rabe has played her fair share of unique characters over the course of American Horror Story. She played suffering wife/ghost Nora Montgomery in Murder House, earthy witch Misty Day in Coven and perhaps her most famous role, Sister Mary Eunice in both Asylum and Freak Show, an innocent nun who is eventually inhabited by the devil.

Now playing Wuornos in Hotel, she will only be a guest star but based on Rabe's comments, it will surely be a memorable performance from her.

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
