The American Music Awards announced their nominations for the 2015 ceremony, and it looks like it's a big year for Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran and more.

Dozens of the most famous, beloved artists in popular music will face off against each other at this year's American Music Awards. Other artists competing against Swift, The Weeknd and Sheehan in various categories include Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, Ariana Grande, One Direction and Nicki Minaj.

The Artist of the Year award boasts 10 nominees, with pop artists taking up most of the slots. The nominees include Smith, Swift, Trainor, The Weeknd, One Direction, Grande, Minaj, Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Luke Bryan.

Meanwhile, the big Song of the Year category features five nominees and voters will surely have a hard time choosing a winner. The nominees are "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth, "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, "Thinking Out Loud" by Sheeran, "Blank Space" by Swift and "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd.
