There's been a lot of characters reportedly coming back from the dead for key flashback sequences on the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, and it now appears that Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) could be one of them.

Will There Eventually Be A 'Game of Thrones' Movie?

The actor was spotted on set with his on-screen wife, Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), dressed like his character, appearing on horseback and looking to be in all of his glory, as Daenerys strode alongside him in a green-gray ensemble and boots.

The appearance of Drogo and the outfit Clarke's character wears are reminiscent of when the characters were married during the show's first season, which has prompted speculation that one of the flashback sequences featured during season six will be one which includes a look back at the pair's relationship.

New 'Mystery Role' Cast For 'Game of Thrones'

Drogo was killed at the end of season one after blood magic left him in a vegetative state and Daenerys chose to end his suffering by suffocating him with a pillow and burning his body.

A flashback to their time together would likely play in well to the storyline that is supposed to be surrounding Daenerys following the season five premiere, which saw her alone in the wilderness after fleeing Mereen on one of her dragons-when she becomes surrounded by another Dothraki tribe.

Several other characters who have been long dead on the series, including Ned Stark-will also be featured in the new season. Though Sean Bean won't be reprising the role he played in season one, younger actor Sebastien Croft has been cast to portray the younger version of the character in a flashback sequence.
