Tate Donovan, ex-boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston, spoke out about the "Friends" actress's engagement to Justin Theroux.

The 49-year-old "Argo" actor attended an even for the Television Critics Association on Jan 6 and was interviewed by Us Weekly Magazine.

"I am very happy for her," Donovan said about Aniston. "I hope it lasts and that they have a great time. And I'm sure they will. They seem like a very happy couple."

When asked his opinion about Theroux, Donovan replied: "He's a really good guy. A really smart, very good guy."

Donovan and Aniston started dating in 1995 and their romantic relationship ended three years later.

Aniston has been busy spending time with Theroux who popped the question to Aniston in 2012. They are expected to tie the knot at an unspecified date this year.

Rumors in December spread that the couple intended to have a wedding during their holiday trip to Mexico.

According to a source for OK! Magazine, the Hollywood couple wanted an intimate beach wedding ceremony with a small gathering of friends and family.

"Originally they wanted to fly everyone to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a small barefoot-on-the-beach ceremony, but that plan was scrapped after the details were leaked," claimed the source, as reported by MTV News.

However, the plans were changed and they were forced to cancel the event after details were leaked.

The couple did spend their Mexican holiday with friends.

According to E! Online, Aniston and Theroux were joined by Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski, as well as Jimmy Kimmel with his fiancée Molly McNearney.

The group was spotted on a terrace relaxing outside in sun which eventually led to Hollywood beauties Aniston and Blunt basking in the warmth in their bikinis, which can be seen on Celebrity-Gossip.net.

Aniston and Theroux departed Cabo San Lucas on Jan 3.
