Alabama's win over Notre Dame during the BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7, has been trumped by their quarterback's girlfriend.

Katherine Webb, the winner of the Miss Alabama 2012 pageant who is currently dating Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, has been in the spotlight ever since the game's announcer paid her many compliments during the live televised broadcast.

Brent Musburger, 73, publicly called Webb a "lovely lady" and a "beautiful woman" while more than 16 million viewers were tuned in.

"You see that lovely lady there, that's AJ McCarron's girlfriend," Musburger announced. "Wow, I'm telling you. You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. Honest. What a beautiful woman....Whoa! So if you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting a football out and throw it around with pops."

Webb has gained over 160,000 followers, as of press time, and even a request for a date from a potential suitor. A professional NFL player, Arizona Cardinals' defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, began tweeting messages to Webb during the game.

"u going to king of diamonds Monday after game?" Dockett tweeted Webb. Webb did not reply to the admirer. Dockett then wrote on the social media site, "hit me (240) xxx-xxxx when game over, lets go to wing stop then King of diamond."

Realizing his mistake, he deleted the tweets and later wrote, "sh*t that was suppose to be DM!"

Dockett was referring to Twitter's private Direct Message service where private tweets are sent to users who follow each other. McCarron, upset that Dockett publicly asked his girlfriend out on a date to a restaurant and King of Diamond - a national chain of strips - began to insult Dockett in his own Twitter rant.

"boy stop! U gotta better chance with them strippers then this way homie know that. better stop eating them wings and win," MCCarron reportedly wrote. "I made "OUR' girl famous tonight she had less than 5k followers now she over 80k! We all can go to wingstop!"

"u better worry ab being in them playoffs, then going to king of diamonds homie.. #betterkeepdreaming like the rest of these dudes," he added.

Donald Trump seems to have also taken notice of Webb. He called her and her boyfriend a "great couple" in a tweet on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Trump, who owns the Miss USA Pageant, must have also caught wind of Webb's soaring presence in the media because not long after he paid them a compliment, he tweeted that he will ask her to host this year's contest.

"We are going to ask Katherine Webb to be a judge at the Miss USA Pageant coming up in Las Vegas," Trump tweeted.

Prior to the announcement, he explained in another tweet why he had chosen Webb to host the upcoming ceremony.

"Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb, has been a truly great representative of the Ms. USA Organization ..We are proud of her!" he wrote.

Webb and McCarron began dating in December of 2012.
