A winner for the new season of Ink Master has been announced.

'Ink Master' Season 6 Contestants Get Excited On Social Media

In Tuesday night's finale, it was announced that Dave Kruseman is the new tattoo champion, something that his former partner couldn't be more proud of. When Duffy Fortner competed in the race, Kruseman was her mentor where the two winded up at the bottom against each other before she was eliminated. Even though her mentor became the new winner, she expressed how happy this makes her feel with a new Instagram post.

The photo shows the two artists in a friendly embrace looking happy to celebrate together. In the caption, Fortner wrote that she loves Kruseman "to death."

And tonight we CELEBRATE!! #inkmasterseason6winner @davekruseman Love this dude to death!!

'Ink Master' Contestants Show Their Confidence, Tears & Emotional Sacrifices

In a previous interview with Carter Matt, Fortner made it clear that it would be a challenge to go up against Kruseman, and clearly she was right.

"Is Kruseman makes it to the finale, whoever the other two finalists might be will both be strong competition," the tattoo expert said. "You didn't make top three if you weren't strong!"

Fortner was also asked why she thinks there has yet to be a female winner in the competition.

"Not sure why there hasn't been a female winner yet, but there were only three female contestants out of a total of 18 (in my season specifically)," she said. "Maybe if there were more females on the show we would have a better chance of seeing a female winner. But the tattoos speak for themselves, male or female."
