Pop singer Justin Bieber confirmed Wednesday that he will host "Saturday Night Live" for the first time in a February airing of the show.

He will also be a musical guest on "SNL," though he has done that before - he performed in 2010 when Tina Fey hosted.

"So the word is out...it is true...im Performing and HOSTING SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE on FEB 9th!!! GET READY!" he posted on Twitter. The 18-year-old also hinted that he is up for anything "SNL" executives throw his way by starting the social media trend "#NothingIsOffLimits."

Bieber's appearance on the show will help promote his "Believe: Acoustic" album, out Jan. 29. He will follow Jennifer Lawrence/The Lumineers on Jan. 19, and Adam Levine with musical guest Kendrick Lamar on Jan. 26. Bieber is currently on his "BELIEVE World Tour," which sold out in 45 minutes and was 2012's number one global grossing tour, according to NBC.

In light of the recent controversial about him allegedly smoking marijuana, Bieber told "SNL" writers that they have permission to joke with him about anything, including pot smoking, sources connected with NBC told TMZ.

Photos surfaced earlier this week of Bieber at a party on Jan. 2 with a rolled up cigarette in his hand, which many thought was a marijuana joint. Bieber did not directly address the alleged pot-smoking photos but he did hint to them in the following Twitter message he posted on Jan. 5:

"Everyday growing and learning. Trying to be better. U get knocked down, u get up. I see all of u. I hear all of u. I never want to let any of you down. I love u."

Even after his apology, fans still were disappointed with the message the 18-year-old was sending to his young followers. The Twitter trend "cut4bieber" began this week and has since spread among the social media site, with Bieber fans encouraging others to cut themselves as a way to protest the singer's drug-use photos.
