Milan Christopher and Miles Brock (AKA Siir Brock) of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood have been sparking lots of conversation since they became the first openly gay couple on the show.

Enstars got to chat with both of them just hours before Brock revealed to his high school sweetheart Amber that he is gay and just before a special Love & Hip Hop: Out In Hip Hop aired on the network on the reaction they have received as well the topic of homosexuality in the hip hop industry.

Milan kicked off the interview before Brock jumped in. Check it out below.

Enstarz: Tonight is a big night for you as the special Love & Hip Hop: Out In Hip Hop is set to shed light on issues that homosexuals face in the hip hop community. What can you tell uis about the special?
Milan Christopher: It’s definitely gonna be one of those things where it’s just bringing exposure to all of the successful people in the hip hop community who are out. It sparks a very interesting conversation about just homosexuality and hip hop in general. It’s gonna be really cool— great for the culture, great for the community, it’s gonna be something that a lot of people watch.

Some of your co-stars like Lil Fizz and Ray J sat down with you and moderator T.J. Holmes. How did they speak about homosexuality in hip hop?
MC: I honestly can’t remember what they had to say. They were a very important part of the conversation. You’ll have to watch the show to get their opinions.

Speaking of co-stars, there was buzz a few weeks before you made your debut on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood that some of your male co-stars didn’t want to film with you because of your sexual orientation.
MC: Still to this day I don’t know where that story stems from…

Omarion was one of the first to speak out and say he didn’t have an issue with it. Did you have any obstacles with any of your other co-stars?
MC: It’s funny you said Omarion because he had no idea who we were and that story was completely false. I never felt any way about any of my co-stars. A lot of them didn’t even know we were on the show.

Ray J pointed out in a sneak peek of Out In Hip Hop that there are several rapers who are ‘on the top of their game’ and are gay. What would you say to them?
MC: For me it’s like…The same thing that I told Miles when he was going through his thing couple of months ago. You have to be yourself. It takes too much energy to go on this facade and keep it going. It takes a lot of energy and effort. You can use that same energy, invest it in yourself, and it would be successful. If you can be successful living lie, you can be successful living your truth. Be you, forget what anyone else has to say.

[Ed. Note: Right on cue, Brock took over and got extremely candid about tonight’s episode of 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood'].

What type of reaction have you gotten since the show aired and revealed that you’re gay?
Miles Brock: I’ve gotten so many different reactions. Awkwardly I thought it was gonna be hard. I actually received lot of love and a lot of support through this entire process. I was scared, I was nervous…I really didn’t know. I was diving into a pool of worms and just hoping for the best. I have gotten a lot of love.

Do you have any regrets about putting that part of your story out there? Especially on reality television?
MB: I’m not gonna lie. It’s been rough and it was hard. The only time I really regretted things was when I initially told my family. Seeing the pain and anguish in their eyes and how heartbroken they were initially. For that one second I did. [But] with all of the love and with all of the “Thank yous” between the tweets and the messages and the emails…Just standing up and being brave telling my story has made it worth it.

Tonight is also a big night for you as we’ll see Amber’s response to your big secret— that you’re homosexual. What was her reaction like?
MB: I’m not gonna lie and paint a pretty picture. It was everything I imagined it would be which is why I held out for as long as I did; which is why I tried the best way to tell her something that would be so devastating for her. That’s pretty much it.

Coming from a Christian family, your close ones had lots to say about your lifestyle. How are things with them now?
MB: My family’s response to the news was very hard. I’m not even talking to half of my family today still…immediate family. It’s very heartbreaking. It’s hard. That’s why so many people do stay in the closet and they don’t come out and they don’t tell. It hasn’t been pretty and I’m just praying for the best. Hopefully they come around and see that I’m the same Miles. I haven’t changed.

On top of making a name for yourself in the music industry, what else are you working on?
MB: I have a new hat line! It’s called Just love. You can purchase it at JustLove.LA. The website is actually up today. It’s a movement that I’m starting for no judgment, no hate, just love…representing acceptance overall. That’s what I want the message to be. Accepting yourself, accepting others.

Don’t miss Love & Hip Hop Hollywood tonight at 8/7c on VH1. The Out In Hip Hop special airs at 11/10c. See a sneak peek of both below.
