Michael Buble opened up on the rumors that he was unfaithful to his ex-girlfriend Emily Blunt.

The smooth jazz singer and the elegant actress were in a relationship a long time ago when they called it quits in 2008. Rumor had it that the reason for their split was because Buble was cheating on her, but in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, he said that wasn't why they broke up.

"It didn't end because of cheating," Buble said. "It ended because we weren't right for each other, and we are now exactly where we're supposed to be in our lives."

Emily Blunt 'Loves' The Feeling Of Motherhood

Buble is right about that since he's been married to actress Luisana Lopilato for four years while Blunt's been married to actor John Krasinski for five years. The ex-couple even has children with their spouses. Despite any differences that may have happened, Buble is still happy for the experience he shared with Blunt.

"Emily is a beautiful and loving person, and I'm grateful for the time I had with her, for the relationship," the singer said. "Without it, I wouldn't have had a chance to fall in love with myself enough to be with a woman like my wife."

Blunt, herself, addressed the cheating rumors in a recent interview with radio host Howard Stern. When he asked about those claims, Blunt responded:

"Well...I don't know, it's complicated. I'm going red!" She added that she and Buble "had a good time."
