Beyonce's sonogram was unveiled to the world at last. A 3-second footage showing her daughter Blue Ivy in her womb will be one of the intimate aspects of her life to be revealed on the HBO documentary, "Life is But a Dream," set to air in February.
In a preview of the HBO documentary, the sonogram of her now 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy is shown for 3 seconds as Beyonce talks about her struggles with keeping her pregnancy news away from the media radar and how she is still a human being despite being famous.
"They keep putting me in these tight clothes and trying to hide it," Beyonce says as she poses with her baby bump for the cameras. "It's very difficult. I don't know how I'm going to get through this."
"I always battle with how much I reveal about myself. How do I stay current, how do I stay soulful," Beyonce says in the video. "I felt like I had been so commercially successful but it wasn't enough, it's something really stressful about having to keep up with it. You can't express yourself, you can't grow. It is the battle of my life so I set a goal and my goal was independence."
HBO announced in late November that it would air the documentary on February 16. The film which is directed and produced by Beyonce with exclusive behind-the scenes footage shot by herself, will include material she shot with her laptop, concert footage and home movies among other material.
"HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity," said Beyonce in a statement on Monday. "Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home."
The film sheds light on her childhood in Houston, with home movies revealing the close bond she built with her family.
The documentary charts the challenges Beyoncé felt when she decided to manage her career and build her own company, Parkwood Entertainment.
HBO said in the statement: "It also captures the intense physical and emotional demands she goes through in the studio, preparing for live performances, running a business and her family life, including her return to the spotlight after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January 2012."
Beyonce, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl 2013 in February.
