The final three episodes of ABC's Castle for 2015 will each deal with Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) relationship in varying ways.

There are only three more episodes of Castle left this year including the fall finale, and Castle and Beckett's "break" will be addressed throughout.

The next episode, titled Cool Boys, will feature the return of Ethan Slaughter (Adam Baldwin), who Castle will consult for some advice on his relationship.

"What we tried to do was have a bit of the 'guy' conversation about what's happening, but put that perspective on its head," co-showrunner Alexi Hawley told TVLine recently. While Slaughter may not be seem like the best person to go to for sensitive issues like this, "It ends up being a positive conversation," according to Hawley.

Fellow co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter told the publication about the next episode, titled The Last Seduction. This episode will be on Castle and Beckett's one-year wedding anniversary. This "very fun episode" may be awkward for Castle and Beckett due to the status of their relationship but "they find a way" to celebrate, Winter said.

Everything culminates in the fall finale, titled Mr. and Mrs. Castle. Like the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, this episode will feature "the fun of the conflict in that relationship in the movie," according to Hawley.

Luckily for fans, the fall finale will not end on a cliffhanger, though Hawley said that the ending will preview "the promise of what it will be like when we come back."

The fall finale airs on Nov. 23. Castle will then take a break from new episodes until February.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
