Jodi Arias, the woman who stands accused of killing her Mormon boyfriend Travis Alexander, is presently in court on trial for his murder.

Those that are following the case can watch the hearing of the murder trial live through a free web stream here.

Arias, 32, was arrested in 2008 for allegedly murdering Alexander, 30, a motivational speaker and legal-insurance salesman. Alexander was shot in the face, stabbed at least 27 times, and his throat was slit from ear to ear, according to reports.

In one of the latest twists to come out of the real-life horror story, a friend of the victim said Alexander feared for his life and predicated his death shortly before he was murdered. He believed Arias may have slashed his tires after he broke up with her, said Alexander's friend and mentor Dr. Karl Hiatt.

Dr. Hiatt shared the revelation in interview on HLN with host Jane Velez-Mitchell.

"Travis came over to our house at least every week, we had family dinners and we would always ask him about, how's his love life, who's he dating and recently, at that time, he had decided to leave Jodi," Dr. Hiatt said. "(Alexander) explained that the next day he was going to leave in his car and his tires were slashed."

Dr. Hiatt then revealed a cryptic message Alexander told his friends shortly before his death:

"The Sunday after that, he told us about it, and said, 'Don't be surprised if one of these Sundays, I don't show up and you find me dead someplace.' And we all just thought, wow, she really must be mad. And he said, 'I'm serious.' And we said, 'we got it.' "

Dr. Hiatt admitted he didn't advise Alexander to call the police after his tires were slashed, adding that because he met Arias and she appeared non-threatening at the time, he didn't think anything of it. Dr. Hiatt said Alexander, a practicing Mormon, was working on his self-improvement and realized that "Jodi wasn't a part of that transition."

"Looking back, he really did have some fear in trying to depart from her," he said.

Arias' trial continues on Monday, Jan. 14. If she is convicted of the crime, she will likely face the death penalty.
