Sofia Vergara looked stunning at the Golden Globe Awards last night showing off her curvaceous figure in a sparkling strapless black gown with a down hairdo and flower earrings.

The "Modern Family" actress talked about her dress in an interview with E! Entertainment host Ryan Seacrest.

"It's Michael Cinco. He's a new designer for me. I've never heard of him. But I saw the dress. Usually I try to stay away from black but I thought it was amazing," the charismatic actress said.

"And Lorraine Schwartz diamonds!" she added.

People Magazine reports that she wore more than 100 carats or $8 million in diamonds.

The Colombian actress, 40, landed in several "Best Dressed" lists of the Golden Globes 2013 including the No. 2 spot on People magazine's Best Dressed list.

"Forget about the trophies handed out on stage. Our top honors go to Sofia Vergara, Naomi Watts and more stylish stars who conquered the red carpet with their gorgeous gowns," raved People Magazine.

Celebuzz also praised the actress saying that she "stood out in black," while the Huffington Post praised her for finding the "perfect fitting dress to walk alongside fellow stars on the... red carpet."

Vergara was nominated for Best Supporting TV Actress for "Modern Family," but the award went to "Downton Abbey's" Maggie Smith. "Modern Family" was up for Best TV Comedy Series but left empty handed when HBO's "Girls" was announced the winner.

Vergara was one of the most popular stars of the Golden Globes after her Pepsi Ad aired multiple times throughout the three-hour telecast on NBC. In the Pepsi ad, she appeared wearing a blue sleeveless dress with a plunging neck line that perfectly displayed her assets.
