LeAnn Rimes confessed that she considered suicide while suffering from depression brought on by criticism she received for her extra-marital affair.

Rimes and Eddie Cibrian began dating in 2009 after meeting on the set of their Lifetime television movie "Northern Light." Both were married to other people at the time: Cibrian and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville already had two children together and Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet.

Rimes and Cibrian wed in April 2011.

The country singer, 30, checked herself into rehab in August of 2012 for anxiety and stress over the cheating scandal. In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," which will air Wednesday, correspondent Nancy O'Dell asked Rimes if she ever considered committing suicide.

"Of course, I think anybody could," Rimes replied. "I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep. I worried that was a possibility [but] I know I would never."

Rimes also spoke about her current marriage with Cibrian and when asked if she worried her husband might be unfaithful to her like he had been to his previous wife, she said "I have at times."

"I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn't say yes," she said, adding that Cibrian has the same concerns. "Speaking for him, I would actually say that's crept into his [mind]."

"I think we've been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other," she added.

On Jan. 10, a different woman who had an extra-marital affair with Cibrian accused the actor of being unfaithful to both his ex-wife and Rimes with her. Scheana Marie said she had an affair with Cibrian when he was married to Glanville and again got in touch with him when he moved on to date Rimes.
