If the guys of One Direction were to make anyone cry it would be with their new song "History" that can be found on either the standard or deluxe editions of their soon-to-be released fifth studio album Made In The A.M.

What Inspired One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.' Deluxe Track 'Walking in the Wind'?

Ahead of the album's Nov. 13 release, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson gifted fans with another track if they pre-ordered the album off of iTunes. Fans have heard "Drag Me Down" since it's the album's lead single and "Perfect" is the second single, but they also have heard "Infinity" since it was released as incentive to pre-order and now they have their hands on "History" too for the same reason.

The British-Irish boy band hosted listening parties for this LP and with those parties came short video clips of the members discussing each song along with a tiny snippet of each song.

Below, Horan and Tomlinson, discuss "History," with the Irish member admitting, "it was one of the best songs we've had."

"It kind of talks about history between ourselves and the fans," he explained of its lyrical content, adding, "All the time we spent on the road... Everything about the last five years."

Tomlinson eagerly talked about the track too.

"'History' just has so much to it and so much meaning," the oldest 1D lad shared, adding, "It's just a perfect song."

Why is it so special though? Well, on Twitter, Horan admitted that the fans were actually involved in creating the song.

Their longtime collaborator Julian Bunetta and he "brought some fans to the studio to record the chorus as like a crowd vocal.. So this song is really YOURS."

It turns out bringing fans in to record part of the song was Payne's idea. He told Entertainment Weekly, "That was actually my idea."

He wasn't able to attend the session, but is happy with it regardless.

"It's really great because obviously that song is mainly about the fans and what they've done; I think it was important that they were a part of it, to close the album," the 22-year-old shared.

"History" really is going to be a song that pulls at heartstrings especially since Payne deemed it as a track that brings "a little bit of closure for this chapter of One Direction."
