Michelle Obama got a new haircut in preparation for the Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 21.

A picture of the First Lady was posted to her brand new Twitter account today, which showed her talking to a man. But the talk of the town has been Michelle Obama's brand new bangs since the photo was posted on the @FLOTUS Twitter account which was opened today.

Mrs. Obama's social media account was launched by the White House and she has already gained over fifty thousand Twitter followers.

"The @FLOTUS Office is now on @twitter & will post updates & pics. When it's her, she'll sign -mo. PS: RT to wish Mrs. Obama a #HappyBirthday," read her first tweet, written by her staff.

The launch of the @FLOTUS account coincided with the First Lady's 49th birthday. She received warn birthday greetings from members of Congress, including California Reps. Karen Bass, who tweeted from her @RepKarenBass account, "Wishing First Lady @MichelleObama a happy birthday today! She's an amazing example for women & young girls everywhere.pic.twitter.com/hSgcZeGW."

Her new account will be run by the first lady's White House staff but tweets sent personally by Michelle Obama will be tagged "-mo."

Apart from Obama's new haircut, millions will be waiting to see what Michelle Obama will wear for the Presidential Inaugration ceremony. She has frequently worn designs by Jason Wu, J.Crew, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Vera Wang and there is no doubt that the top designers are vying to dress the First Lady with their designs for the main event and inaugural ball.
