Michael C. Hall certainly looked incognito sporting a scruffy beard while catching lunch with ex-wife, Jennifer Carpenter, on Wednesday at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Carpenter and Hall, who star as brother and sister on the Showtime hit show Dexter, married on New Year’s Eve 2008, but Carpenter filed for divorce in August 2010 citing irreconcilable differences.

However, sources told People magazine that the lunch was not romantic.

"It was not a date," a source told People. "Jennifer and Michael are friends. They spend time together. They work together. It was not romantic."
