There has been a lot of buzz surrounding The Hateful Eight this last week, with a new trailer and director Quentin Tarantino addressing the police boycott of the films.

Quentin Tarantino Won't Back Down In Face Of Police Boycott Of The Hateful Eight

Tarantino sat down with Bill Maher on his late night show to discuss the issue of police brutality and his contentious statements -- misconstrued as him calling all cops murderers -- that motivated cops to boycott his films or anything to do with him.

"[The police] are calling me a cop hater, which is slander because I didn't say that. And they are implying that I meant that all cops are murderers, and I wasn't. But the sad thing is we do have to talk to the cops about this," Tarantino said. "We have to get to the problem and get this on the table."

"We need to talk to the cops about this, we need to get to the problem," he added.

Another Deadline report revealed some interesting details about the film, including the fact that it will actually be about three hours long -- not really a surprise coming from Tarantino. In other exciting news, it was also revealed 100 70mm projectors were put together by TWC for the movie's roadshow. This version will be different from what will play at the multiplex.

Additionally, a new trailer for the movie has also been unveiled.

The movie will release on Dec. 25, 2015.
