Ahead of production on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season seven, a source claims Gorga's lackluster storyline may result in her being fired from the reality show.

“Bravo warned Melissa that she is very boring and has no storyline,” an insider told Radar Online on Thursday. “She doesn’t fight with Joe, and the music career thing didn’t work out. She really has nothing else going on.”

Earlier this year, due to her alleged failure to drum up viewers' interests, Gorga decided to open her own boutique in New Jersey, much like that of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, who owns a store in Beverly Hills.

“That’s why she is opening up the store, so that’s her storyline,” the source explained.

However, Gorga wasn't the first Real Housewives of New Jersey star to do so. As fans will recall, show regular Kim DePaola also has a boutique in New Jersey -- and she's reportedly returning to the show for season seven. 

“Melissa told Kim it wouldn’t be competing because her store is in a different town from Kim’s store,” the source said. “But one of the storylines is going be Melissa’s store against Kim’s store. Melissa copied Kim. It’s all to make herself interesting again.”
