Ah, love.

From the post-apocalyptic remnants of Washington DC to the police stations of Brooklyn, our favorite characters can't help but pair off, even in the worst of times. Some have been together for years now (we're looking at you Casket), but other 'ships are just coming into their own.

Of those burgeoning romances, we've bookmarked a few you should keep your eye on as the fall season progresses. If you're feeling like doing a little binge watching, we've included the best episodes for each 'ship

Fitz and Simmons (Agents of SHIELD)

It's the 'ship that just can't launch. Every time FitzSimmons gets a little bit of air in their sails, the winds of tragedy come sweeping through. The science wonder twins were so, so close to making a move until Simmons disappearance derailed their romance in spectacular fashion.

Now, Fitz (Iain de Caestecker) isn't the only love in Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) life.
With Will holding onto a piece of Simmons' heart from across the universe, will FitzSimmons ever become a reality? Henstridge says you should "get the tissues ready because it gets worse before it gets better."

Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) are hell bent on proving the old adage that opposites attract, and in the workplace no less. After their sexual tension fueled season 1, Jake confessed his feelings to Amy. It wasn't until season 3, however that their relationship really go off the ground. Now, the pair is faced with navigating the pitfalls of mixing work and romance.

Clarke and Lexa (The 100)

Talk about some bad blood. Lexa and Clarke shared their first kiss in season 2's "Bodyguard of Lies," but one episode later, any hope for their future -and the Grounder/Sky People alliance - was shattered. Lexa will return for season 3, and I'd bet big money that the Heda and the leader of the Arkers will meet again. That's the way the saying goes, isn't it?

Now, whether or not Clarke is in the proper headspace for a relationship, well, that remains to be seen. She wasn't before, and it's doubtful the Mount Weather massacre or her walkabout will have improved her mindset. Nevertheless, we're definitely going to keep our eye on Clexa when The 100 returns to The CW this spring.

Key Episodes:
Season 2, Episode 10: "Survival of the Fittest" on Netflix
Season 2, Episode 14: "Bodyguard of Lies" on Netflix
Sesaon 2, Episode 15: "Blood Must Have Blood: Part 1" on Netflix

Barry and Patty (The Flash)

The Scarlet Speedster has a new love interest. Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) pining for Iris ruined his season one relationship, but the WestAllen 'ship has relocated to the backburner now that Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) has arrived on the scene. Once the Flash recovered from the shock of meeting a girl that's pretty, witty, and into him, the duo embarked on their first date in "The Darkness and the Light." Despite its faltering start, this nascent couple seems ready to steal viewers' hearts.

There is one major problem facing the duo, however, and it's the same issue Barry faces when meeting anyone outside the STAR Labs crew. Patty doesn't know her new beau spends his free time zooming around the city in spandex, but being the detective that she is, it's only a matter of time before she realizes all is not what it seems. How the Flash handles this obstacle will determine the future of the Allen/Spivot 'ship.

Key Episodes:
Season 2, Episode 2: "Flash of Two Worlds" on Hulu, The CW
Season 2, Episode 5: "The Darkness and the Light" on The CW

Steve McGarrett and Lynn (Hawaii Five-0)

This is a wee baby pairing, but after Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and Lynn's (Sarah Carter) first date, we think it's about to explode. McGarrett has possibly found the only girl on Oahu who will go from free diving to battle mobsters without missing a beat. Apparently, you take you life in your hands when you date the leader of Five-0.

Some viewers may miss Catherine (Michelle Borth), but McGarrett had to move on eventually. In our eyes, Lynn holds serious potential as Steve's next girlfriend.

Season 6, Episode 7: "Na Kama Hele" on CBS
