'Person Of Interest' Season 5: 'Milestones' Coming For Shaw & Root Romance, When Will They Be Reunited?
Shaw and Root's romance is nowhere near over on Person of Interest.
Finch (Michael Emerson) and Co. is ready to snatch Shaw (Sarah Shahi) back from the jaws of the enemy, and, when they do, Sameen and her girlfriend will get a second chance. Thankfully, their blood-soaked "If-Then-Else" goodbye won't stick.
"I think you'll see a lot of milestones," executive producer Denis Thé told TV Line. "As a writer, these ladies are so fun to write - they're flirty, they're fun - but there's a deeper relationship, a deeper emotion simmering there."
Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait until at least episode 4 to see Shaw away from the Samaritans. With no set season 5 premiere date, however, fans may feel like a Shaw/Root (Amy Acker) reunion won't air until the 10 th of Never. According to Shahi, it will be worth the wait.
"We have a very 'interesting,' Shaw-centric episode coming up," Thé explained. "[Y]ou get to see what her life has been like, living in the grip of the enemy. And you'll also get to kind of experience what the road might be like if she ever was to get back."
The 15-episode fifth season will air this winter on CBS.
