Of course, none of these theories will be confirmed until the film is released. Meanwhile, here are some of out favorites:

Rey is the daughter of Han Solo & Princess Leia

J.J. Abrams insists that the seventh installment is purely original and has veered far away from the Expanded Universe storyline. However, fans can't help but use the book series to make sense of who Rey is. In the book, Han and Leia got married and had twins, a boy and a girl. Fuel to the fire? Rey and Finn don't have last names.

Kylo Ren and Rey are siblings

If the film is anything like the Expanded Universe, as the fans continue to hope for, Rey's twin brother is Kylo Ren. In the book, the daughter of Han and Leia stays battles for the good while her twin brother ends up in the dark side of the force. Plus, Abrams earlier revealed that Kylo Ren is not his real name. So we're crossing our fingers on this.

Luke is a Sith Lord

Clearly, one of the film's biggest anticipations is the absence of Luke Skywalker in the teasers and posters. Everyone's wondering where our favorite heroic Jedi ended. While he may have had a bit of a bright ending in Return of the Jedi, there's no denying that he's eternally changed after finding out his father is Darth Vader.

Now, theorists are claiming Luke has gone dark and they have Yoda's words to back it up: 'Only a fully trained Jedi Knight, with the Force as his ally, will conquer Vader and his emperor. If you end your training now... if you choose the quick and easy path as Vader did... you will become an agent of evil.' Never wrong, Yoda is!

Luke is going to train Finn

In what is one of the most surprising scenes in The Force Awakens trailer, we have a storm trooper removing his bloody helmet and eventually leaving his post behind. We can already tell Finn is going to be one of the most interesting characters. Fans are speculating Luke is going to train Finn in becoming a Jedi. The clue? Finn is wielding Luke/Anakin's lightsaber that was lost during The Empire Strikes Back.

Far out or not, these "Star Wars" fan theories are getting us all giddy. Can't it be December 18 yet?!
