Only four couples remain on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, but one more still has to be eliminated - who will be cut just short of the grand finale?

'Dancing With The Stars' Pro Derek Hough Stricken With Strep Throat

Tamar Braxton had to withdraw from the competition on Tuesday, eliminating her and partner Val Chmerkovskiy from the season. The Real co-host had to go to the ER for a majority of Monday night's episode but made it back in time. At the end of the episode, Alexa PenaVega was eliminated.

Dancing With the Stars has revealed that they will not bring PenaVega back in the wake of Braxton's withdrawal. So let's break down the final four couples and try to figure out who will be eliminated in the semifinals.

Carlos PenaVega Is Determined To Win 'DWTS' -- But Can He Do It?

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough

Irwin and Hough have been frontrunners from the start of the season, with her bubbly personality combined with genuine dancing skills making her a favorite among the viewing audience. They seem destined for the finale, but Hough has been cut just short of the finale the past two seasons, so will that streak continue?

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess

Carter and Burgess have frequently received high scores throughout the competition and like Irwin and Hough, have never been in danger of going home. His Backstreet Boys fan base certainly helps him, along with a knack for ballroom dancing. But does Carter have the passion vote compared to his fellow competitors? We shall see.

Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson

Carlos had to watch his wife be eliminated from the competition Monday night, bursting into tears and admitting he wished it was him. Like Irwin and Carter, Carlos has a talent and passion for dancing and this combined with a possible sympathy vote from America could allow him to sail through to the finals. Although, he's been in jeopardy several times before so his luck may run out.

Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold

Skarlatos has never been the best dancer in the competition, but his backstory as an American hero and his reputation as a genuinely good guy has propelled him further into the competition. However, he is at the bottom of the leaderboard right now and may need a lot of votes for him to advance into the finale. Can he do it?

As of right now it's unclear if anyone will be eliminated at the end of next Monday's episode due to Braxton's untimely exit. If not, the fourth place couple will likely be revealed the following Monday with the grand finale the following day.
