Mikel Ruffinelli, 39, of Los Angeles, Calif. is just your average mom with some unique assets.

She stands at 5 foot 4 inches, 420 pounds and has the title of ‘World’s Largest Hips.” Ruffinelli’s large hips measure a staggering 8 foot circumference, which gives her an unusually curved look for such a petite frame.

"I love my shape and I see no reason to diet because I don't have health problems. Men don't fancy skinny girls, they like an hour glass figure," she said.

But having such an abnormal figure has forced Ruffinelli to make some changes to her everyday routine. She drives a truck because she can’t fit into a car, travels through doors and hallways sideways, uses steel supported chairs to sit on in her home and sleeps on a 7 foot wide bed. Whenever she goes out, she can hear people laughing and taking photos behind back, but she isn’t fazed by the attention.

Ruffinelli credits her weight gain to the birth of her four children. Before she had her first child at the age of 22, she only weighed 140 pounds. After she gave birth to her son Andrew 19 years ago, her weight shot up to 182 pounds. She then went up to a size 18 and weighed 238 pounds. She met her husband Reggie Brooks and had three more children - Destynee, 13, Autumn, 9, and Justyce, 7.

“I put it down to my pregnancies. I don’t see why else the weight would go to my hips, although, I do eat lots,” she said.

Her husband of ten years, Reggie, a 40-year-old computer technician, is in full support of the curvy shape and tells Ruffinelli she’s beautiful every day.

With a 3,000 calorie per day diet, Ruffinelli has no plans to change her eating habits.

“It sounds like a lot to have 3,000 calories, but for someone my size, it’s not really. I might have a breakfast of two eggs with sausage and bacon and a handful of potatoes," she said. "Lunch is fried fish and French fries, but dinner’s my big meal. I like to make barbecue chicken with rice or mash. I have a big portion – but I’m not greedy. I snack on peanuts, granola bars and crisps.”

Ruffinelli often works as a plus-size model and has booked jobs that pay $1,000 per photo shoot.

“In the past, I was self-conscious about my hips and tried milkshake diets, but they didn’t work. As I got older, I learned to love my body and now I’m not afraid to show it off," she added. "Being healthy is the main thing. I do water aerobics to keep fit."
