They're supposed to be one of the hottest new couples in Hollywood, but Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are still keeping quiet when it comes to publicly acknowledging their relationship.

The pair, who were confirmed to be dating before the CMA awards earlier this month, have been quiet when it comes to talking to the media about their romance - and that continues to ring true as new video has emerged of Shelton giving non-committal answers when asked about his relationship.

TMZ caught up with the 39-year-old outside of a studio, but when asked about his relationship, Shelton shocked by referring to Stefani, 46, as a friend.

"It's going good," he says as he continues to walk past the photographer. "She's a good friend."

He then quickly ducks inside the studio and the interview is ended.

Stefani also played coy when asked about the relationship in reference to her new album just a few days after the romance was confirmed.

"Wow, that's really personal," she said at the time. "This is what I'll say about that: I never said nothin' about being in a new relationship. I don't know who said that but somebody did, and then my kid came in last night to tell me about it. That's how crazy my life is. People can just say whatever they want and then they can just believe it."

The lack of acknowledging the relationship to the media has led to some speculation that it is all being staged for their show, The Voice, though Shelton's lack of speaking up could be due to his being tired of media speculation about his life.

The country star has taken to Twitter several times since his divorce from Miranda Lambert was announced in July to make sarcastic comments about various reports concerning him.

His most recent reply to a rumor about him-which claimed he and Stefani were already expecting a child together; he even riffed on the story, with him pretending to confirm he did in fact have a child - but on his own.

"I was...I had the baby at about 6 this morning.." he wrote.
