The Rap Queen is one of the most famous and successful female rapper of all time. Real name Onika Tanya Maraj, professionally known as Nicki Minaj made it big in the music industry by her bad girl and daring persona. She's the first solo artist to have seven singles in the US Billboard Hot 100, all at the same time.

Since she had her breakout album, Minaj's been involved in many feuds, including the one she had with Lil k:m who accused Minaj of imitating her style. The rapper called out Miley Cyrus at the VMAs, referred co-artist Iggy Azalea as a rapper who doesn't write her own lines, and also didn't give Taylor Swift a pass. Her explicit daring style makes her marks her as something of a musical rebel.

But on Wednesday night in LA, she emitted a whole new kind of aura and power. Nicki slayed the timeless poem  "Still I Rise" at the Shrine Auditorium for "Shining A Light," a concert for progress on race in America. The poem by Maya Angelou describes how powerful a woman can be. Nicki Minaj was really the right person to deliver the message to the world of black merit and perseverance. The rapper has been through a lot and people are still trying to tear her down. The poem sits with her personally and proved that she, as a black woman is strong and beautiful no matter what.
