Engaged couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth vacationed in Costa Rica starting on Jan. 11, just in time to celebrate the actor's 23rd birthday two days later.

They were joined on the trip by members of Hemsworth's family, including his older brother Luke, his wife Samantha and their three children. Us Weekly reported that another brother, actor Chris Hemsworth, was on the trip as well with his wife Elsa Patakay and their 9-month-old daughter India.

Cyrus, 20, and Liam, 23, looked relaxed as they cuddled and watched the sunset on a local beach on Jan. 17. That same day, Cyus posted the following Twitter message: "Taking care of your body is so important but so easily forgotten.  healthiness is happiness. ❤"

In honor of Liam's birthday on Jan. 13, Cyrus tweeted, "It's my baby's birfffday today so no tweeting :) gotta spend that [quality time]. gonna be on a little twitter hiatus for a bit. Love y'all."

During their vacation, the couple also went hiking, diving and swimming in a secluded river with friends.

Cyrus is recording a new album, slayed for a release later this year, and Hemsworth is currently filming "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." The couple met on the set of their 2010 film "The Last Song" and got engaged in May of 2012. The former Disney star said she does not plan on going down the aisle anytime soon. Cyrus, revealed that she enjoys her engagement to "The Hunger Games" star and sees no need to rush to have a wedding.

"I already feel married," she said, "I know we are forever. I don't need the paper right now."

"I don't know when we will get married yet. We are still enjoying being engaged," she added. "I've got so much planning to do with the tours and getting my record out. First I have my movie, then my record - then I'll do my wedding planning."
